  • My Life and Times

I was born in 1939 BC.
    That’s ‘Before Computers’.

Luckily I survived the following events in my life, such as

World War II, The London Blitz, Rationing, and worst of all… Archbishop Temple’s School.

During the mid 1950s I was enjoying Rock ‘n’ Roll and being a first generation teenager, when suddenly, just like Elvis, I found myself in uniform during ‘The Cold War’…and then

I became ‘a family’. Which meant that I sort of missed the ‘swinging sixties’, but still managed to look a complete prat in the 70s, just like everyone else.

During the ‘Thatcher Years’ I lost my hair and a lot of people lost a good deal more. My career fluctuated to say the least as I was demoted, promoted, fired and hired a number of times, but still I managed to stagger on into a welcome retirement and to celebrate 56 years of happy marriage.

How long before she is Baroness Moran ?

Posted by Big John on December 14, 2012

They used to call it … “Pleading the headaches” … Now a judge has ruled that ex-Member of Parliament and expenses fiddler Margaret Moran was .. “not fit mentally to defend herself” .. having heard that she was suffering from ‘severe depression’, although her depression does not seem to have prevented her from popping into her local pub or ‘popping’ off to her Spanish villa !

Apparently a bunch of psychiatrists convinced some ‘soft’ judge to sentence this cheating “Blair Babe” to a two year supervision and treatment order, as she was deemed too ill to be jailed. She didn’t even have to turn up at the court for sentencing.

The £53,000 which she stole has not, as yet, been repaid, and a former employee of Moran said ..“She never saw it as taxpayers’ money, just that she was entitled to it.” Don’t you get the feeling that all those ‘chancers’ on the Westminster ‘gravy-train’ feel that way ? .. I wonder if …

…    she now claims disability benefits ?

There does seem to be a massive disconnect between our rulers elected representatives actions and what the people of Britain want and deserve.
