They used to call it … “Pleading the headaches” … Now a judge has ruled that ex-Member of Parliament and expenses fiddler Margaret Moran was .. ”not fit mentally to defend herself” .. having heard that she was suffering from ‘severe depression’, although her depression does not seem to have prevented her from popping into her local pub or ‘popping’ off to her Spanish villa !
Apparently a bunch of psychiatrists convinced some ‘soft’ judge to sentence this cheating “Blair Babe” to a two year supervision and treatment order, as she was deemed too ill to be jailed. She didn’t even have to turn up at the court for sentencing.
The £53,000 which she stole has not, as yet, been repaid, and a former employee of Moran said ..“She never saw it as taxpayers’ money, just that she was entitled to it.” Don’t you get the feeling that all those ‘chancers’ on the Westminster ‘gravy-train’ feel that way ? .. I wonder if …
… she now claims disability benefits ?
